• Understanding Cognitive Apprenticeship: Making Thinking Visible

    Live on Zoom

The second workshop of the TLI Learning Community, on why students cannot learn what they cannot see. Ric Campbell made the case for cognitive apprenticeship, teaching that models the thinking behind the answer rather than the answer alone, so that the invisible work of a mathematician, historian or reader becomes something students can watch and learn.

  • Learning from Our Community: Stories and Strategies from the Classroom

    Live on Zoom

The third workshop handed the floor to the teachers. Members from Senegal, Uganda and beyond shared what they had actually tried in their own classrooms, from writing poetry on the lawn to running Think, Pair, Share in a class of a hundred, in the session the community judged its strongest yet.
